Just did a quick 10 minute night time GOPRO Hero 3, Rigid Dually light/camera test. I was pretty disappointed that GoPro wants you to spend another 20 bucks so that you can use an external mic. However, having said that, the stock mic on the 3 is much, much, did I say much, better than the mics on the 2 or 1. Maybe I won't need the external mic?? As for the Rigid dually lights, all I can say is Wow! They aren't even adjusted right and they still made a HUGE difference. The stock lights look like yellow pee holes in the snow compared to the whitish blue light of the led lights! Very nice indeed! Pretty hard to tell the video quality in the dark, but I am sure there will be plenty of time for that! Pretty chilly out (-6c) but it was ok.
